BUREAU OF SAFETY



The Bureau of Safety is an integral part of the San Andreas Port Authority, as it ensures that all apparatus, personnel, and civilians perform their duties in a safe and up-to-standard manner. Furthermore, the bureau ensures safety throughout the port by employing licensed, armed individuals who are put through in-house training and certification programs.
PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Man security checkpoints ensuring personnel entering and exiting the port have the appropriate credentials to do so.
  • Conduct security patrols to enforce appropriate driving regulations within our jurisdiction; as well as find offensive persons to warn them or remove them from the premesis.
  • Perform health and safety inspections internally by reviewing handheld equipment, checking over the vehicular fleet, perform appliance testing within office spaces and liaise with heavy machinery manufacturers.
  • Provide first aid and perform annual health checkups for terminal-based employees; also providing assistance to port visitors and private companies in incidents of injury.
  • Liaise with various Law Enforcement agencies with results of investigative work reviewing various statements, damages, security camera and dash-cam footage for incidents in our jurisdiction that would concern them.
  • Act as an armed first line of defense for aggressive persons, protecting port workers and visitors while awaiting various Law Enforcement agencies to arrive on-scene.
  • Ensure that all goods being imported and exported to and from Los Santos are up to the specification of customs regulations.
  • Work in co-operation with the Los Santos Fire Department to deal with hazardous substance leaks and/or explosions.
  • Enforce and review regulations/procedure in the use and maintenance of port property.

CBRN DIVISION


The Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear division are responsible for handling and regulating the importing and exporting of hazardous substances.
PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Handle, regulate and potentially dispose of hazardous materials.
  • Manage incidents in the case of leaks and explosions.
  • Act as an anti-terrorism measure, providing domestic preparedness.
  • Liaise with various governments and militaries under treaty compliance and demilitirization efforts.

CUSTOMS DIVISION


The Customs division is responsible for monitoring all imported and exported goods to and from the Port of Los Santos, responsible for rejecting cargo that doesn't pass regulation.
PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Monitor all goods entering and exiting through the port, identifying unauthorized goods.
  • Dispose of illegal substances brought to the port.
  • Liaise with ICE (Immigration & Customs Enforcement) to document criminal activity.
  • Manage and regulate the procedures in which goods and cargo are reviewed.
